The **/** sign provides access to a range of formatting and structural tools within the editor. Below are the features you can access:

### 1. **Headings (H1, H2, H3)**

* Use heading levels to structure your notes hierarchically:
    - **H1:** Main headings.
    - **H2:** Subheadings.
    - **H3:** Smaller subsections.

### 2. **Bold, Italics, and Underline**

* **Bold:** Highlight important terms or sections.
* *Italics:* Emphasize key points or references.
* **Underline:** Draw attention to critical information.

### 3. **Color Text**

* Add color to specific text for categorization or emphasis. Choose from a palette to visually differentiate content.

### 4. **Links**

## Using the **@** Sign

The **@** sign allows you to mention and tag various entities in your notes, creating seamless connections across your research materials.

### Mentions and Tags

When you type **@**, you’ll see six options:

1. **PDFs**
2. **Sheets**
3. **Notes**
4. **Quotes**
5. **People**
6. **Tags**

***

### Tagging Files (PDFs, Sheets, Notes)

* Tag entire files (PDFs, Sheets, or Notes) with **@** followed by their name or select them from a dropdown.
* Tagged files act like hyperlinks: **Clicking the tag opens the file directly.**

***

### Tagging Specific Sections (Quotes)

To tag a specific section of a document:

1. **Highlight the section** in the file you want to reference.
2. The highlighted part is saved as a **Quotation.**
3. Use **@** to tag the quotation in your notes.

#### Quotation Features:

* **Displays the source file** and **page number** of the tagged section.
* **Keyboard Users:** Press **Cmd + left click** on the quotation to open the exact place in the source document.
* **Mouse Users:** Click the **“...” icon** in the bottom-right corner of the quotation to open the original source.

### Tagging People (Teamspace)

* In the Teamspace build (currently in development), you can tag collaborators by name using the **@** sign.
* This feature enhances collaboration and tracking in shared research environments.

***

### Tagging Tags

* Simplifine is developing functionality to tag other tags, enabling even deeper levels of organization.
